a. Car listing (or list your car) is the process whereby you provide us with information of your vehicle and agree to give it out for rental purposes in order to earn from your vehicle.
a. The process is very simple. Just log on to www.rentmycar.pk and click on the “List Your Car” button. You will be asked to sign-in or sign-up (if you have not already signed up). Once you have logged in – you are required to enter all the details and pictures of your vehicle. Once you have provided us with the details of your vehicles – you will be invited for the next stage.
The listing process is divided in to two simple stages:
  • i. Information stage: This is the first stage of the process, when you enter the details and pictures of your vehicles by logging onto www.rentmycar.pk
  • ii. Agreement Stage: After the information stage – you will be called in to sign an agreement. When you come in to sign the agreement, you will be asked to bring the car (that is being listed) for us to review your vehicle.

Upon the completion of these stages, your vehicle will be activated on our platform and you will be able to earn money from your vehicle

a. The overall time taken may vary. Provided below are the estimated timelines: i. Information stage:
  • 1. Login: less than 1min Or
    Signup: approximate 5 mins (this process includes mobile number verification)
  • 2. Vehicle details: approximate 5 to 10 mins
  • ii. Agreement stage: since we get a lot of listing requests – the number of days it may take for us to call you in for agreement signing depends upon the demand of your vehicle, demand during the period, amount of pending requests, etc.
  • This period can range from 1 week to two weeks. Hence you are requested to be patient. We are working on speeding up the listing processed.

Once we receive your email, we will try and resolve your issue asap. We will get back to you with feedback regarding the progress with in 24 – 48 hours.
a. Number of days your vehicle is rented entirely depends on the availability of your car, responsiveness to trip requests, along with the current demand of your vehicle.
  • i. There are two types of demands:
  • 1. Short Term | Adcock Demand: is when customers come and select your car directly through the website for a short period
  • 2. Long Term | Project Demand: is when special deal is negotiated with corporate clients or for major events (like trade expos etc)
No. We set the price of rental based of several different factors (refer to question 7).
a. RMC sets the price of any car based on its market value, condition, location, time of year, and other statistical data to maximize your earnings. In the future your rating may also impact the price and visibility of your vehicle.
The prices are dynamic – meaning they can change according to demand.
a. Displayed price of vehicle on our RMC’s platform includes;
  • i. Sales Tax @ 10% to the base fare and charges the user
  • ii. With Holding Tax @ 2% to the base fare and charges the user
  • iii. Driver charges to the base fare and charges to the user (if driver is provided by RMC)
  • iv. Service charges to the base fare and charges to the user
a. Amount of money you can earn depends on the price of your vehicle and the period of time (number of days) it is rented out in a month.
i. For long term | project based rentals – specific deal is negotiated between all the parties involved. A separate contract is signed before the start of the project / long term rental.
ii. For short term | Adcock rentals you can earn, from 50 % to 75% of your vehicles displayed price. Provided below are some examples that have an impact on your earning percentage is e.g.
  • 1. If you provide us your car with a driver and that completely meets the clients requirements (insured with tracker etc) – then you will be earning 75% of the displayed price.
  • 2. During low season – we may run promotion on your vehicle in-order to make it more attractive for rentals. You will be informed about the promotion before you vehicle is rented out.
  • 3. If you cannot provide you car with a driver and RMC finds a driver for you – then charges of the driver will be subtracted from your earnings.
a. Depending on the type of vehicle you have and our demand evaluation, we may take vehicle off your hands for you for a longer period (like 6 months | 1 year | 2 years etc) and keep it with us. We will start the selection process in the next 6 months.
a. Yes. You are in complete control of when the vehicle is rented. However after a rental request is accepted by you, you will have to complete the rental period. You will be penalized for withdrawing your car before the rental period
a. Yes. You are in complete control of when the vehicle is rented. However after a rental request is accepted by you, you will have to complete the rental period. You will be penalized for withdrawing your car before the rental period

a. We only give out cars on self drive to our corporate clients and verified users. You will be notified when there is a self drive rental request for your vehicle. You will have the choice to decline this request if you do not feel comfortable with this option.
a. Majority of the vehicle we rent out are with drivers. When a driver is required for a rental request and the lister cannot fulfill this demand, RMC may help the lister in finding a suitable driver. However the ultimate responsibility of the driver will be undertaken by the lister.
If the lister does not provide a car with a driver then the cost of hiring a driver be reduced from the payment made to the lister.
a. Even though risk to vehicle can never be eliminated, provided below are the ways we use to mitigate risk to your vehicle.
i. Majority of the cars we take are with drivers. Hence the lister ends up providing their own driver
ii. If the lister is not able to provide a driver then we may find a driver for a specific rental. In this case the lister is invited to complete the due diligence process of the driver and the final decision to hire the driver for rental lies upon the lister.
iii. We only give out cars on self drive to our corporate clients and verified users. We have a rigorous process to verify individual users hence we reducing considerable risk to your vehicle.
iv. Insurance is necessary to provide cars on self drive:
  • 1. If lister does not have an insured car than we will help the lister in getting insurance
  • 2. If an insured vehicle is given on self drive and there is damage to the vehicle, then it is the renters responsibility to pay for the added premium.
a. In this case it will be safest for you to provide your car with your own driver only. RMC will not bear responsibility for any type of damage to the vehicle if it is provided without proper insurance as It is the responsibility of the lister to provide cars with insurance. Kindly note that:
  • i. Insurance should cover any damage / loss / theft of the vehicle during rental period
  • ii. If there is no insurance RMC can help the lister acquire insurance.
a. Whenever the vehicle is taken out of the city it is known as outstation rental.
a. Itf is you choice to accept or deny any out station rental request. Note that you have the ability to earn more money on outstation rentals.
a. Outstation rental charges depend on your vehicle. You can view the amount being charged for outstation rentals on your car details page.
a. For damages:
  • i. If the lister is providing the car with driver then RMC or the party renting the vehicle will not be responsible for any damage or theft or any type of loss of vehicles.
  • ii. If the lister is not providing car with a driver then it is mandatory for them to have commercial vehicle insurance and tracker (both of which RMC can help the lister acquire). The responsibility of damages / theft of the vehicle lies with the insurance company.
  • iii. For self driven rentals, renter will pay for the difference in premium
  • iv. RMC will not be held responsible in any way for any claims made by the lister
a. Generally for ad-hock / short term requests - Fuel cost is borne as per actual by the user unless specified otherwise. We will notify you in case fuel needs to be included as part of the rental. Vehicles will be provided with a set level of fuel (half tank of gas) and will be returned with the same amount of fuel (half tank of gas).
a. Outstanding bills will cleared on a monthly basis
  • i. If applicable: Any outstation allowance, over mileage and over time will be paid with monthly bill. A copy of Log Book and attendance sheet shall be sent to renter.
  • ii. In most cases fuel will be the responsibility of the Renter
  • iii. The lister agrees to collect cash from the renter on behalf of RMC (if cash is selected as a mode of payment). This will be adjusted during bill settlement
